WINSTART - A Windows Startup Utility (c) 1990 by Charles Puffe 9-18-90 WINSTART is a program written in C that performs start-up functions for Windows 3.0. I had had a batch file do the job previously, but needed a project for a course in C programming . Put WINSTART.EXE in a directory in your path (ex.: C:\UTIL) and put a line at the end of your AUTOEXEC.BAT file that reads, simply, WINSTART. The window that lists choices will appear; hit the key for your choice. The source code is supplied, should you wish (or need) to make any changes. The program assumes that your WIN.COM file is in the file path C:\WINDOWS; if you have chosen to rename the directory that Windows is in, you will need to modify the source (or change the directory name). The source code requires the Window Boss libraries to be compiled. These are available on CompuServe, or many BBS's in your area. One good source for The Window Boss is an SDN (Shareware Distribution Network) affiliated BBS in your area. This software is hereby released as copyrighted freeware.
